Italian model manufacturer has teased one of its latest projects, one of the special-bodied Ferrari 375 MMs from 1954 in 1:18 scale. Known as the “Ingrid Bergman”, this car is a fascinating design from one of Ferrari’s halcyon eras.

The story goes that the 375MM Ingrid Bergman was commissioned by famed film director Roberto Rossellini for his wife, film actress Ingrid Bergman. Pininfarina was tasked with the design, and the car debuted in unique Grigio Ingrid paint tone at the Paris Auto Salon in 1954.

The Bergman Coupé Special features several unique design cues. Most notable are the large rare buttresses that give the car a bit of a hatchback appearance. Further, large cutouts in the fenders aft the front wheels seem to harken the 250 Testarossa.

LookSmart had already revealed on its website that it would be producing a scale model of the Ingrid Bergman, but a more recent post on its Facebook page shared these images of the design as it nears final completion. The model is expected to go on sale sometime later this year.
