Description
Our Colors of Speed collection shows off the most recognizable legends in automotive race history, featured in their typical race colors. We use the same high quality of paper and digital printing technology as our fine art pieces to provide a real celebration of some of most iconic models ever produced.
This artwork depicts the Le Mans-winning Ford GT40. The GT40 was designed in the 1960s specifically to beat Ferrari, so they say. And beat Ferrari is exactly what the car did – but its impact on motorsport ended up being far greater than either company anticipated. In 1966, the Mk.II version of the car dominated the 24 hours of Le Mans, finishing first, second and third. And it continued winning the race for a further three years after. The gold-colored Shelby-American Inc. GT40, driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, finished first in ‘66.
Individually signed and numbered by hand, this stunning piece is part of a limited edition of only 50 prints.
