Jim Clark is regarded as one of, if not the best racing driver of all time. Never in the history of motor racing has a man displayed the utter dominance displayed by Clark in his tragically short career. If his car finished a race, it was almost always in 1st place, and often by a significant margin. He drove whatever car he was given with a characteristic ease described by Sir Jackie Stewart  “He was so smooth, he was so clean, he drove with such finesse. He never bullied a racing car, he sort of caressed it into doing the things he wanted it to do.”
