Originally known as Advanced Vehicle Systems (AVS), Don Nichols’ Shadow sports cars gained notoriety in the open regulation Can-Am series during the early 1970’s. Having enjoyed success in Can-Am, the team would later enter into Formula One in 1973 and were henceforth recognized as Shadow Racing Cars. In 1974 Shadow would go on to dominate the final season of Can-Am before focusing their energy entirely upon Formula One. With their history of world renowned driver, exciting & dynamic cars and mysterious background, Shadow cars made a lasting impression on the motorsports community that survives to this day.
